Abstract
Područje Hrvatske, s posebnim naglaskom na područje Dalmacije, obiluje stijenskim materijalom koji se, po svojim svojstvima, može svrstati u meke stijene. Nemogućnost klasifikacije takvih materijala po tradicionalnim klasifikacijskim sustavima, problemi prilikom uzorkovanja zbog sklonosti degradaciji i loša čvrstoća čine meke stijene zahtjevnim materijalom u građevinskoj praksi. U svrhu boljeg razumijevanja ponašanja mekih stijena i njihovih svojstava stvorena je baza podataka s oko 1500 uzoraka prikupljenih u geotehničkim istražnim radovima. Na temelju prikupljenih podataka izvršene su analize primjenom statističkih metoda regresije i „površine odgovora“ s ciljem dobivanja konkretnih korelacija između geotehničkih parametara (prvenstveno mehaničkih svojstava čvrstoće i deformabilnosti intaktne stijene) i fizikalnih svojstava materijala te indeksnih pokazatelja priznatih u praksi.

Parallel abstract (English)
Croatia, especially the region of Dalmatia, abounds with rock material which, by its properties, can be classified as soft rock. Difficulties with their geomechanical classification under the usual systems, problems with sampling due to degradation and poor strength make soft rocks demanding material in construction. For the purpose of understanding soft rock behavior and their properties, database with around 1500 samples collected in site investigation was made. Collected data were analyzed with statistical methods of regression and response surface methods in order to obtain correlations between geotechnical parameters (especially mechanical properties of strength and deformability) and physical properties of material, as well as between geotechnical parameters and index properties.
