Abstract
Gubitci vode u vodoopskrbnom sustavu veliki su problem u svijetu, pa tako i u Hrvatskoj. Vodu koja je ušla u sustav, a nije stigla do krajnjeg korisnika definiramo gubitkom. Uzrokuju velike ekološke i ekonomske gubitke koje je moguće svesti na minimum pravilnim upravljanjem vodoopskrbnom mrežom, međutim nemoguće ih je izbjeći. Ukupne gubitke vode možemo podijeliti na stvarne (fizičke), te prividne (komercijalne) gubitke. Stvarni gubici javljaju se zbog prelijevanja vode u vodospremama, curenja na cjevovodima i curenja na priključenjima na mrežu, dok prividni gubitci nastaju zbog nepreciznosti vodomjera, neovlaštene potrošnje i greške u rukovanju podacima. Glavne metode smanjenja gubitaka vode, definirala je IWA (engl. International Water Association) međunarodno udruženje za gubitke vode, a to su upravljanje tlakom, brzina i kvaliteta popravaka, aktivna detekcija curenja i upravljanje infrastrukturom. Primjenom tih metoda znatno se može utjecati na smanjenje gubitaka što je cilj svakog vodoopskrbnog sustava. U Hrvatskoj prosječan gubitak vode u javnim vodoopskrbnim sustavima iznosi oko 50% što je unutar prosjeka svih vodoopskrbnih sustava u svijetu. Preporuka Europske unije je da ti gubitci trebaju biti manji od 15% iz čega zaključujemo da Hrvatska ima puno prostora za napredak.
Abstract (english)
Water losses in the water supply system presents a big problem all over the world, so in Croatia as well. The water that entered the system without reaching the last user is defined as loss.They cause great environmental and economic losses that can be minimized by proper management of the water supply system, however it is impossible to avoid them. Total water losses can be divided into real (physical) and apparent (commercial) losses. Actual losses occur due to overflow of water in reservoirs, leaks in pipelines and leaks in network connections, while apparent losses occur due to inaccuracy of water meters, unauthorized consumption and errors in data handling. The main methods for reducing water losses are defined by the International Water Association (IWA), which are pressure management, speed and quality of repairs, active leak detection and infrastructure management. The application of these methods can significantly reduce losses which is the goal of any water supply system. In Croatia, the average water loss in public water supply system is about 50%, which is within the average of all water systems in the world. The European Union's recommendation is that these losses should be less that 15%, so the conclusion is that Croatia has a lot of space for progress.
