Abstract
U radu je analiziran životni ciklus odlagališta Karepovac od njegovog nastanka do buduće prenamjene. Prikazane su glavne značajke odlagališta kao sustava te analiziran njegov utjecaj na okoliš s obzirom na trenutno stanje odlagališta. Proučena su predlagana rješenja sanacije odlagališta te je izvršena usporedba s današnjim konceptom gospodarenja otpadom po smjernicama EU. Predloženo rješenje sanacije je analizirano tako da bude u skladu s europskim propisima te da nema štetan utjecaj na okoliš. S obzirom da će odlagalište biokemijski i fizikalno biti aktivno još dugo vremena, definiran je koncept zbrinjavanja plina i procjednih voda te uređenje terena sa sustavom odvodnje površinskih i podzemnih voda. Predložena je prenamjena prostora uz prikazanu buduću viziju odlagališta.

This thesis analyzes the life cycle of the landfill Karepovac from its creation to the future repurpose. The main features of the landfill as a system are presented and its impact on the environment was analyzed given the current state of the landfill. Proposed solutions for landfill remediation were examined, and a comparison was made with today’s concept of waste management according to the EU guidelines. The proposed remediation solution was analyzed as to be in line with European legislation and that there is no harmful effect on the environment. Given that the landfill will be biochemically and physicochemically active for a long time, a waste gas and leachate management concept was defined, as well as landscaping with a system for surface and groundwater drainage. A space redevelopment was proposed alongside a display of a future vision of the landfill.
